Social Justice Lunches
In 2024, we hosted an event called “Intersections”, which was an opportunity for local activists and change-makers to come together, learn from each other, and listen to a panel of people with a wealth of experience in community organising and justice-seeking. The feedback from this event was that more opportunities to meet together in this way were needed, and our program of Social Justice Lunches was born. Previous meetings have been on the themes of Activism and Non-Conformism, Burnout, and Poverty.
These events are for everyone who dreams of a better world – whether you’re a seasoned campaigner or a budding activist, you’re very welcome. You’ll have the chance to hear from our panel of experts, and join conversations in small groups.

Our Social Justice Lunches are open to anyone of any faith or none, but if you’d like to know more about our Christian reasons for running the group, you can find out more here.

We are pleased to be able to offer Social Justice Lunches for free, but we would be grateful if you would consider making a donation or becoming a regular giver to Leeds Sanctuary so that we can continue to run these sessions for anyone who would like to come.

We believe that Safeguarding is at the heart of Sanctuary, and you can read our Safeguarding policy here. We do take photos at these events which may be shared in digital spaces and in print, but if you would prefer not to be in these photos, please let a member of our Team know on the day.
