Social Justice Lunches - Our Why

At Leeds Sanctuary, two of our core values are Relationship and Justice. Our Social Justice Lunches are an opportunity to share a meal and network with other local agents for change, learning from those with specialisms and perhaps different perspectives..

In John 20:21, Jesus says to the Disciples, “Peace be with you. Just as the Father has sent me, I also send you.” We believe that just as the Disciples were an active community, there is power and support to be found when we work together.

Our heritage as a Methodist charity also calls us to serve those around us, being good neighbours to people in need and challenging injustice; and to help people grow and learn through mutual support and care.
