City of Neighbours

The first part of our project will take place within existing local services – one of our Practitioners will be providing a listening ear and signposting service to anyone who would appreciate an informal conversation and perhaps some support.

The second part of the project will use what we have learned through our listening to develop new activities, communities and/or services which are co-produced with local people. We believe that our unique offering of community building, justice-seeking and wellbeing work, together with local people, is a powerful force which can bring real change and improvement to societies.

City of Neighbours is a two-part project with the ultimate aim of developing activities and communities which correspond directly to local people’s needs, and the challenges they are facing.

City of Neighbours will launch for the first time in May 2026 in the Beeston and Holbeck, and Hunslet and Riverside Wards, and this work will be funded by the Inner South West Community Committee.
