Blue Christmas: A Midwinter Retreat

  • City Square Leeds, England, LS1 5EB United Kingdom (map)

Join us for a Blue Christmas Midwinter Retreat space, designed to support you reflect in the Christmas season.

We recognise that for many people, Christmas creates complicated emotions. It can be a very exciting time with opportunities for much joy, but it can also enhance feelings of grief, anxiety and loneliness. Mass celebration at a time when many are unable to celebrate, perhaps due to poverty or war, can also raise feelings of guilt, and holding these emotions together can be overwhelming and exhausting. Our Blue Christmas retreat will be an opportunity to acknowledge and reflect on these emotions through quiet moments, creativity and mindfulness.

In the Church Hall, there will be spaces for mindfulness and creative activities, hosted by our Practitioners, Emma and Eleanor, and we’ll be hosting space for quiet reflection in the Chapel itself.

Doors will open at 3pm, and you can stay for as long as you’d like until 6pm. We'll also be serving refreshments throughout the afternoon.
