Refugee Week: A Sketch Walk

  • Leeds, England United Kingdom (map)

Gather with Leeds Sanctuary and local artist and historian, Clifford Stead, for a Sketch Walk in honour of Refugee Week. We’ll be curating a relaxed, creative environment for learning about our city’s rich history of welcoming refugees, and about the positive impact that people seeking sanctuary have had on our culture, economy, and community.

The Walk will be in Leeds city centre (meeting point to be confirmed) at 5.30pm on Tuesday 16 June. No prior experience or knowledge of either history or sketching is required, and we'll provide you with a sketchbook and pencil!

As a charity, we are committed to keeping our events and communities as affordable as possible, and so we have introduced a pricing structure for the Sketch Walks which allows you to choose the price which is best suited to you. Here’s a quick guide to help you decide which ticket to select when you book through TicketSource:

Recommended price ticket - £11. If you have some flexibility in your monthly outgoings, choosing this ticket covers your place on the Walk in full.

Lower cost ticket - £5.50 Our most affordable ticket price.

Pay-it-forward ticket - £16. Selecting this option will support the work of Leeds Sanctuary and enable us keep offering events and activities that are affordable to everyone.

If you would like to come but cannot afford to buy your ticket, please contact hello@leedssanctuary.org.uk for a code which will allow you to book your ticket at no cost to you.
