Leeds Craftivists - Our Why

At Leeds Sanctuary, our core values are Justice, Relationship and Flourishing. Leeds Craftivists is a welcoming space in which all of these can be explored.

In Micah 6:8, we hear that God requires us as Christians to “act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God”. We believe that this calls us to work from a place of mercy and humility, understanding that none of us is perfect, but that we can join in God’s work for a more just society, seeking change together for the common good. The example set by Jesus and his disciples shows us that there is solidarity to be found in diverse community, and that a relatively small group who work together can create lasting and loving change.

Our heritage as a Methodist charity also calls us challenge injustice, and to help people to grow and learn, through mutual support and care.
