The Enneagram - Our Why
At Leeds Sanctuary, two of our core values are Relationship and Flourishing, and we provide safe spaces in which both can be explored, and in which everyone can be more fully who they are called to be.
In Matthew 22:37-39, Jesus tells us that the most important commandments are to love God, love each other and love ourselves. We believe that the Enneagram is a really powerful tool which can empower us towards fulfilling these commandments – the better we know ourselves and understand those around us, the kinder we can be to ourselves and each other. As Christians, we also value knowing how God has designed us; what our strengths are, what our challenges are, and how we can deepen our relationship with God through knowledge of both.
Our heritage as a Methodist charity also calls us to help others learn and grow, through mutual support and care; and to be good neighbours to people in need, and challenge injustice.
